The kit comes with pretty much everything you need to make and program a simple robot. I picked up the MAKE Rovera 2WD Arduino Robot Kit the other week and have been putting it together and checking it out. I am starting a new series of articles explaining how you can create robots using Arduino. Building robots that sense and interact with their environment used to be tricky. Last Christmas I ordered this kit,with the idea of building it with the kid. These are the same robots, that I used in my various talks. I m using OpenCV with VC++ 2010 for the fingertip detection. Here I try to explain one of my idea about how you can also make your own hand controlled robot. With ADX's Arduino classes, combined with a wood shop pass, you could build a table with a flush sitting lazy susan in the middle, and control the rotation of the lazy susan via an Arduino board. And im planning to use to arduino to control the LEDs. Like anything you order from DX, it takes forever to arrive.
